I guess a good way to start this post is by saying this: my house is ratchet. It really is. It was "finished" in 1954. I say "finished" because the owner sort of gave up. The garage was never finished. There is a door off of the master bedroom that just leads to a 5 foot drop. There's another door which leads to a concrete...thing. it's 9 feet tall, 8 feet long and 2 feet wide. It has a 1 foot drop just to get in. No, seriously, my house is weird
Pictured: that strange closety thing.
So my goal this summer is to make my house less ratchet. This started with my garage. See, my garage is filled with shit. It's not my fault. No, really.
Pictured: shit. Shit everywhere.
See, my dad was the one who used the garage, mainly. He stored his 525iT in it every day. He used the work bench for projects and had all of his tools and lights stored there (from a combo of being a gapher an owning a flashlight company). When he passed away in 2009, we basically stacked all of his tools there and left the garage alone. Shit piled to the sky on either side from us being too lazy to store things properly. It got worse and worse and worse. The E39 was sold to a family friend, destroyed inside by kids and then wrecked. My mother and I finally decided to get some use out of the garage. Let the cleaning begin! Today was the second day of cleaning. This was the result.
So much room for activities! The right side is still in need of finishing.
Organized shelf with puzzles+fixie
Finally a work bench with space to work!
There's still a ton to do, but we made a huge amount of progress.
Innovative tape solutions available at a low cost!
Time to crack open a cold one! By which I mean soda, because I'm under 21.

You so need to make a sliding bookcase for that closet thing. Secret room for the win!

I actually think there might also be a 300zx pictured somewhere in here.

If you make the swing of the bookcase from the light switch side, it would be a perfect disguise. You would have to cut the side that matches up to the wall in a couple of degrees, but you should be able to hide that pretty easy with thick sides and some mouldings. A nice safe room at the least.

You know what, you're right. After a closer look, I can't seem to see it anymore.

Also, the bumper is now much more glossy.
